Studio corner

This is the quiet half of The Perplexing Pariah: a desk for Python backends, a shelf for grammar sketches, and a turntable that earns its keep after code freezes. The room is small on purpose. Cables stay labelled, notebooks stay dated, and the cat (Syd) has a veto on late-night synth experiments.

Friends borrow the space for language drills and charity poster folding. When a practice night moves to Battersea, the awkward problem is never the playlist. It is how to get speakers, sleeve boxes, and a folding table across town without a scrape. That is when a short man-and-van plan beats three stressed taxi trips.

Dated studio notes

On 9 January 2026 I rebuilt the cable loom and marked which crates travel if a Battersea open-mic needs a quick PA. In August 2024 a heatwave week forced early morning packing so vinyl did not cook in a parked boot. Through 2023 the studio doubled as a FoodCycle leaflet station whenever rain cancelled outdoor flyering.

Explain few led parties no longer lives here. The old placeholder copy is gone. What remains is a working room for software, languages, and the logistics that keep creative London nights moving.
